High School Tips 8 From Susan Smith, a chemistry teacher at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California: ìAll my make-up tests are administered on the last Wednesday of every month. This way, I can close my classroom during study hall to all but test takers, which provides the students with a quiet place to work. It also keeps me from giving the same make-up test one at a time, to various students, over and over again. Finally, it cuts down on the students who miss tests on purpose. My make ups are a little harder, never multiple choice, and there is less time to take them in, all of which reduce the incentive to be sick for a test to retake it later, at the students convenience.î |
